Art + Music

Art and embodied creative practice are modes of inquiry that are simultaneously inherent to humanity, and sidelined within academia. I DJ as PROFESSOR H3X, playing global bass and dance music, with strong influences from UK diasporic sound culture. I am currently writing about DJ practice as an articulation of techne that disrupts narratives of technological lack amongst marginalised communities.
In Spring 2026 I will debut pieces from my forthcoming exhibition, Bodies of Knowledge. Featuring ceramic, sound, and print works, this project explores the body as a technology of knowledge-making in ethnographic practice. I also produce small-batch functional and sculptural ceramics, mostly for sale at markets in the Chicagoland area. Contact me if you’re interested in a commissioned piece, I am open to interesting ideas that fit my practice.
